1ST VETERAN'S BATTALION RULES OF CONDUCT

On behalf of the members and leadership of the 1st Veteran's Battalion, welcome to our team. As a member of this elite organization, remember that it is an honor and privilege to serve not only your country, but along side your teammates. As a member of our elite organization, you agree to adhere to the following Rules of Conduct.

CSM (1VB)BigDog

Rules of Conduct

(not to be confused with Bn SOP)

  1. When using the (1VB) designator, you represent not only yourself, but the rest of the 1st Veteran's Battalion. So do not put down other organizations or individuals publicly. Conduct yourselves as professionals and soldiers.

  2. Use chain of command to resolve problems and seek information.

  3. If you have a problem with your immediate superior, skip one level in the chain and report the problem.

  4. Respect your fellow members. This is an organization with the best players and soldiers available. Healthy competition is not only expected, but encouraged. However, there is a line between competition and unprofessionalism that we will maintain and enforce.

  5. Help your fellow team mates. Many in our battalion have a lot of military experience, while some have technical abilities. Using teamwork, we can develop ourselves into the most lethal and technologically advanced unit on the net.

  6. Unit disagreements will be kept private and discussed in the Battalion Command Forum if necessary. DO NOT post grievances in public forums.

  7. No member will pressure or harass another member to make a contribution to the unit servers.

  8. New assignments to the 1VB are reviewed and approved by the 1SG/SGM/CSM.

  9. In-game, follow the instructions of your team/squad leader. Also practice "step down" drills in your squad so each member knows when to assume command.

  10. No disciplinary action will be taken for soldiers who miss squad practices. However, based on squad/team leader input, the First Sergeant can recommend a player be placed on "inactive" status.

  11. We will enforce and maintain a “Three Strike Rule.” If you are told that your conduct is not acceptable, get over it, we all make mistakes and loose our cool from time to time. Bottom line is, you will be warned twice – on the third instance, you will be asked to leave. The only exception to this is derogatory or slanderous language and comments about race, gender, sexual preference, religion or creed. These are grounds for immediate dismissal.

  12. If you make a complaint to the Chain of Command and you don’t see immediate action, the Chain of Command is not “burying its head in the sand.” We will try to handle all grievances in private.

  13. When you have a grievance, use the forum private message or e-mail to communicate with your Chain of Command. If you have a GENERAL gripe or recommendation (not directed at an individual), use a member’s only forum (the ones marked with an asterisk after their names). This does NOT imply that you can’t say what’s on your mind, but before you post a message slamming the Chain of Command or each other, wait ten minutes and see if you really need to say it publicly, or would a private message be more effective? Think not only of yourself, but of the higher purpose of this organization.

  14. If someone's conduct is questionable, The CSM will appoint a DISINTERESTED 3 man panel to review the case and present their findings (this will all be done in private). The disinterested parties will come from squads other than those of the accuser and accused. While it may be "airing dirty laundry", We think it's the fairest way to approach this.

  15. We are a proud group with a common bond and that’s what makes us better than the average clan out there, we WILL have disagreements, misunderstandings, arguments, and even falling-outs, but in the end, we are proud veterans who can overcome any obstacles that we want to overcome.

  16. If at any time, you feel that someone must go for you to stay in this Battalion, the door is open. We are not going to be a group of elitists or snobs. We are all human and should all make an effort to respect those around us. However, if someone’s conduct is so disruptive to the unit as to cause the unit to dissolve, they will be asked to leave.

  17. CHEATING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED in any shape or form.

  18. Lastly, we all joined this organization with one primary goal, to have fun. Keep the game in perspective and lets "rock-and-roll."
